Terms of Service
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These terms cover your use of Benchnote, an online service for small device repair shops. By subscribing to or using Benchnote you agree to them.
The service
Benchnote gives a repair shop an online booking page, a repair-status tracking page for its customers, and a simple dashboard to manage repair tickets, notes and quotes. It is software provided over the internet. There are no physical goods.
Subscription and billing
Benchnote is a monthly subscription. You choose a plan (Solo $19, Shop $35 or Plus $59 per month, in US dollars) and are billed at the start of each monthly period through our payment processor, which acts as the seller of record and handles payment, invoices and any sales tax. The subscription renews every month until you cancel.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt or customer portal, or by emailing us. After you cancel there are no further charges, and you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Early access setup
Benchnote is in early access. After you subscribe, we set up your shop's booking page within 1 business day and email you the sign-in details. Features may change and improve during early access.
Your account and your data
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for the information you and your customers enter. You keep ownership of your data. How we handle it is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Use Benchnote only to run a lawful repair business. Do not use it to send spam, store unlawful content, collect data you have no right to collect, try to break into the service or other accounts, or overload or disrupt it. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why.
Service provided as is
We work to keep Benchnote available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own records of important repair information.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Benchnote is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Benchnote after that, the new terms apply. You can cancel at any time if you do not agree.
